What is Thai foot massage?Thai foot massage is a part of Thai Traditional Medicine. It involves using various massage techniques and works reflex points on the feet, as well as the sen (energy) lines in the lower leg. The emphasis is on an holistic approach, working on general wellbeing. What happens during a session?I would do an initial consultation with you, ascertaining any problem areas you may be experiencing. During the practical session I massage your feet and lower legs, usually with cream. I may add specific essential oils to the cream. The session will involve a variety of massage techniques, and for part of the treatment I use either a massage stick or a crystal on areas of your feet/legs. What can be helped?Thai foot massage has a beneficial effect on the body's systems and the energy channels of the body. The aim is for the internal organs and energy channels to be stimulated and to encourage the body's own natural healing generating a state of wellbeing. Many people do think of Thai foot massage treatments as part of their regime of preventing the onset of health problems. What are the costs and session times? £30.00 per 50 minute session. The first session usually lasts about an additional 20 minutes as I gather information from you. There is no additional charge for the extra time taken on the first session. How many sessions would benefit me? This will depend upon what is happening to you at the time. Many people find they benefit from a course of 6 sessions, whilst others find that 3 sessions are enough for them. Others like to make it part of their lifestyle, and incorporate it as a part of their preventative and wellbeing maintenance programme. Our practice is based on the south coast of England, in Bournemouth, Dorset. |
